This was great, especially the suggestion about applying to programs with more than one strength.

I reposted this on my Blog PhilosoraptErs. The blog was created to keep philosophy students, from BA to post-doc, updated and educated about the professional aspects of philosophy.

I really appreciate your last comment on here Dr. H. I can imagine it must feel terrible for those that work so very hard to obtain their PhD, then are denied jobs. I am honestly going through that with my BA in Philosophy and Political Science.

I would aldo recommend that those that want to enter teaching, work as often as possible as a Teachers Aide for experience. Experience seems to be key these days!
