A Seminar on Three Profound Naturalists
Each of these three radical thinkers found a different way for the individual to navigate a life through a chaotic and sometimes tragic natural world – without appeal to any organized religion. We will read important works by these philosophers and discuss them critically and carefully, in a seminar style in which everyone must contribute. Some previous exposure to philosophy would be very helpful, but mainly what’s required is the willingness and ability to approach some difficult texts analytically and discuss them critically.
