Phi Sigma Tau call for members!

USU is home to a chapter of Phi Sigma Tau, the national honors society in philosophy. We typically induct new members in April of each year.

To join Phi Sigma Tau, you need to meet the following requirements:

• You must have completed 1.5 semesters at USU;
• You must have a 3.3 cumulative GPA;
• You must have completed (or are now completing) three Philosophy classes;
• You must have a B average in your Philosophy classes.

Note that you need not be a minor or major in Philosophy. Membership in the national organization costs $25.

Another visiting philosopher!

As I said last week, we are hiring in our program, and we are hosting visits from three candidates. We would love it if students came to meet with these visitors and gave them an idea of what the program is like, from a student’s perspective. so please join us!

The meeting with our third candidate, Dr. Mario Hubert, will be this Wednesday (3/1), 11:30-12:15, in the CSPH conference room (Main 202).
