One thought on “Russell and Heidegger on Nietzsche”
I think they are both right.
Russell sees what any clear-headed person sees, and it is the most obvious and most damning critique of Nz the man and Nz’s philosophy of the Übermensch – Nz is ‘small-souled’.
But Heidegger is right too, Nz culminates metaphysics in a magnificent philosophy of freedom (this is, if you know your Heidegger, a really backhanded compliment, and might more accurately be described as a criticism!).
