Visits by Philosophers

Some of you may already know that the Philosophy program is hiring this year. We’re looking for someone who is a specialist in ethics. Over the next couple of weeks, we will have three candidates for the position to campus. We warmly invite you all to come hear their talks and meet them informally.

Our first visitor is Dr. Peter Wicks, who obtained his Ph. D from Notre Dame and now is in a post-doctoral position at Princeton. He will be presenting a lecture, “The Concept of Evil in Recent Ethical Theory,” on Monday (2/14), 4:30 – 5:30, in Main 203. Also, he will be in our departmental conference room to meet folks informally at two times: Monday and Tuesday from 10 to 11. Please come meet him if you can!

We will also have visitors at the end of next week and at the beginning of the week following. I will post further details as they are established.
