This semester, we are reading a theological work on Mormon in the Book of Mormon. It is written by a philosopher, and it’s about the concept of apocalypse, so that’s always fun. If you are interested, here is the link to the book:

We are going to meet next week. I wanted to take a quick poll to see when we could get as many people as are interested in coming. Here are the potential options. I set the options for next week, but the pattern would be to meet once every other week when the philosophy club is not meeting.

We have now put out the podcast I did about Christian universalism. Universalism in the Christian context is the belief that eventually everyone will go to Heaven and that no one will be stuck in Hell forever. If this sounds interesting to you, please listen!

All our welcome to attend the next Philosophy Club discussion next Tuesday, 2/15, in ESLC 053, at 4:00 p.m. The topic will be whether the style of writing and engaging in philosophy itself excludes or discourages various people from participating. The essay below addresses this question, and you may want to read it, though reading it is not required for joining in the discussion next Tuesday!
